2. Hosting and delivery (Cloudflare)

This website is delivered by Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA (hosting, content delivery network, protection against attacks). On every request Cloudflare processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, requested page, user agent, referrer. Purpose: delivery, stability and security of the website. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure, fast operation). The technical execution logs of the program that serves the pages and receives the contact form (requested address, time, status) are kept by Cloudflare for up to seven days; the contents of your message are not logged there. Aggregate usage statistics (section 4) contain no personal data.

A data processing agreement with Cloudflare is in place (Cloudflare Data Processing Addendum). Where data is processed in the United States, transfers rely on the adequacy decision for the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Cloudflare is certified, and additionally on EU standard contractual clauses.

The website loads no fonts, scripts or other content from third parties, with one exception on the contact page (section 3). The website itself sets no cookies.

3. Contacting us

Contact form. If you use the form, we process your name, e-mail address, your organization if you choose to give it, and your message, in order to answer your enquiry. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures), otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Your input is transmitted encrypted, received by a program on the Cloudflare platform (Cloudflare Workers) and delivered as an e-mail through Cloudflare’s e-mail sending to contact@electricmind.de. The subject line contains no personal data. Cloudflare keeps technical delivery records for each e-mail sent (time, sender and recipient address, subject, delivery status) for up to 31 days and, for troubleshooting, a copy of the message including your input for about seven days, which only we can view in the Cloudflare dashboard; after that the message exists only in our mailbox (see below).

Protection against automated submissions (Cloudflare Turnstile). The contact page embeds Cloudflare Turnstile. Your browser loads a script from Cloudflare, and Cloudflare processes technical characteristics of your browser and your IP address to distinguish people from automated programs. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a contact form free of abuse). The script loads when the contact page opens, even if you only came for the e-mail address. Cloudflare states that it additionally processes the signals collected as an independent controller to improve Turnstile (Cloudflare Turnstile Privacy Addendum). We additionally check a hidden form field; this data is not stored.

E-mail. You can also reach us directly at contact@electricmind.de. Our mailbox is operated by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany (processor). E-mail to addresses at our other domains electricmind.eu, electricmind.info and electricmind.solutions is forwarded to this mailbox through Cloudflare E-mail Routing; Cloudflare processes it only to forward it.

Retention: until your enquiry has been dealt with; if a contract follows, statutory commercial and tax retention periods apply.

4. Usage statistics

We use no analytics or tracking scripts and set no cookies of our own. To gauge usage we look only at aggregate, non-personal statistics that Cloudflare derives from the log data described in section 2 (for example page views per day, countries of origin, pages requested). No individual person is identified.

5. Links to other websites

This website links to other websites (for example publications, Acrolinx, Awandu and LinkedIn). When you follow a link you leave our website; the privacy notices of the respective provider apply there.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20 GDPR). Write to contact@electricmind.de.

Right to object (Art. 21 GDPR): where we process data on the basis of legitimate interests (hosting, Turnstile), you may object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation. Write to contact@electricmind.de. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for Berlin: Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit.
